Cleo Arevalo is a conceptual artist employing multimedia techniques to create art objects, videos, and installations. Her work showcases an exploration of the pervasive systems of labeling that shape our societal landscape, effectively weaponizing information. Arevalo invites viewers to question the validity of the meanings we assign to the symbols around us and their influence on our individual and collective identities.

Her practice is deeply rooted in her experiences within the border region, where she continuously explores themes of cultural hybridity and personal narrative through a variety of media, including the fabrication of art objects, video, installation, and digital art.

Currently, Cleo is a faculty member at El Paso Community College, where she shares her passion for art with the next generation of creatives.
